Over the 6 Sundays in Lent we have been on a Journey that has been challenging and thought provoking. A journey that talked of:-
Our second candle was lit as a symbol of our hope in Jesus Christ to teach us again how to love, how to break down walls and to build bridges.
Our third candle was lit as a symbol of our faith in Jesus Christ that His presence is with us, and that we are not alone.
Our First candle was lit as a symbol of our faith in Jesus Christ to help us resist the temptation of the world.
Our forth candle was lit as a symbol of our trust in Jesus Christ that our sins are forgiven, when we repent and turn back to God.
Our fifth candle was lit as a symbol of our faith in Jesus Christ to help us to forgive as we are forgiven, to help us love as we are loved.
Our sixth candle was lit as a symbol of our trust in Jesus Christ that God will always remain faithful, even when we lack faith.
Lord you have journeyed with us through the valley of the shadow and Good Friday to the other side. A journey that led us to today, Easter Sunday, the day when Jesus rose from the dead to become our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. So it is time for us to turn our Lenten Cross into our Easter Cross of celebration and love.
